We have been using a side table from a set of 3 as Sophia’s table. She’s been using it for her meals, arts and crafts, reading and to play on. It was looking a little tired and tatty so I decided to make it new and more grown up for her. She is a big girl now after all.
Here is what the table looked like before and now:
Why not try it yourself?
All I did was get some sticky back plastic and white gloss (available from most hardware stores). I removed the top, peeled off any stickers and gave it a good clean. Use the sticky back plastic to completely cover the top piece. Instant upcycling!
To finish it off I painted the lower part (legs ect) with the gloss and put the top back on. Really simple, easy and it doesn’t take long. Most of the time is spent waiting for the paint to dry.
As a little finishing touch I added some pink felt to the bottom of the legs. That way it doesn’t scratch the laminate flooring and makes it quieter when sliding it around the room.
